He has grown so tall that he has started the wife's slippers when his own slippers broke. "Amma, I am taking your slippers"  And just like that...

Took him to watch Black Panther Wakanda Forever and the boy was happy.

Childrens Day and Scam

The boy wanted a Hawaiian Themed shirt for Children's Day event at school so borrowed Ah's father's shirt. It was pretty big for him. But he wore it as a jacket.

"Scam" is the new word he has learnt from his friends at school.

"Remember the Foosball kit I got for my birthday from J**r aunty? It is a scam. It does not have one of the boards in it"

 And the boy got a chance to feed an Ostrich!

PTM

The boy had Grade 4 PTM today. Feedback :- - Bright student, the teachers love to have him around - Reading comprehension is good - LOVES Maths and is always enthusiastic about it - Need to improve his spelling - Need to be more expressive when it comes to Science, work on his analysis and express his opinion - Need to work on his matras in Hindi

Fracture

And the boy got a hairline fracture on his left wrist. He was tackled in the football practice and while falling down landed on his left hand. Icing did not help and he still complained of pain. X-Ray confirmed it. Cast for 3 weeks along with a sling. Boy is afraid that the children in school will make fun of him, the wife told him it would be the opposite - all will fuss about him.

Signature

I needed the boy's signature for a family form and he was thrilled that he was asked to sign. Proudly scrawled his name :)

4 Grade - Day 1

 Missed it as the wife was not well and due to Covid protocols we couldn't send the boy to school. The boy was so upset. Eventually after 3 days, he was able to attend.

And the boy has taken a liking to this show now.

 Yesterday was the boy's birthday and he got these books as gifts.

Cardamom House Trip

 The boy had a lovely trip to this place. Walked a lot, played, chatted.

Books from Blossoms

 And he got a large collection of books from them with a coupon for more books. Mostly Tom Gates was picked up for reading.

We visited the Crocodile Park, the Dinosaur Museuem and Surf Turf in Kovalam.

Interhouse Football match

I had started physically going to work 1-2 days this month and the boy suddenly called.

His house had won the inter house match and he scored 2 goals! He was thrilled. 

Full fledged

school opening from today. The boy missed because of my Covid and should be going next week. For now we are taking turns dropping 3 children in school as the school transport does not make sense - time and cost wise. Additionally, Aa has board exams.

School reopens

I went and dropped the 3 (the boy, Ata and Kv) today. Chatting all the way. For now the plan is a couple of days of offline classes and the remaining 3 days, online.

Learned to skip

The boy did a decent job of it. Now need to see how long he sustains it.

Money and getting change

Boy went to shop on his own paid money and got change!
